"FINELY WROUGHT"
SHOW OPENS AT SOUTHERN COOS HOSPITAL & HEALTH CENTER IN BANDON, SUNDAY JULY 11
The show features works by four prize-winning painters: Steven Thor Johanneson of Yamhill and Janet Tarjan Erl of Klamath Falls, both award-winning members of the Watercolor Society of Oregon; Steven Abbott of Salem who does very fine works in graphite pencil; and local artist Kimberly Wurster of Coquille, who has won First Place in EXPRESSIONS WEST at the Coos Art Museum for her lovingly rendered images of wildlife, particularly birds (see sample of artists' works below)
The artists reception will be Sunday, July 11th from 1-3 p,m and will include harp music by Bandon/Coquille resident Candace Kreitlow. The show is sponsored jointly by the hospital and AVK Arts, a foundation whose mission is to promote art in public places. The hospital is located at the eastern end of 11th Street in Bandon. The show will remain on display through September. The hospital is open daily from 7 am -9 pm. For more information call them at 541-347-2426.
P.S. The show at HARBORTOWN EVENTS CENTER in Old Town Bandon will be open through Sunday, July 11th. (11 am - 6 pm )...it's a great show....pass this along so that people can see both of them when they come to Bandon.
