A Fish Story

If this story appeared on a television movie of the week there would be roars of triumph, tears of joy and a stirring round of applause, but it won't, the artist at the center of the storm is far too busy creating new work to be drawn back into a time warp. And why not, not every artist can make work that is both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Who is this miracle worker, with a back story worthy of literature and a gift for art that makes trash into treasure? Angela Haseltine Pozzi the force behind Art 101 and the creative whirlwind who designed the Washed Ashore project.

And the project is scheduled to open in Newport if such an organic being can be said to open, like its creator it never slows down long enough for there to be an ending. Even when it is on public exhibit the project will invite people to reclaim beach refuse and add it to the Washed Ashore project.

So pack your overnight bag and head up the coast road to see Angela Haseltine Pozzi's Washed Ashore and if you have been teased by hints of a back story follow the link to Oregon Live where Katy Muldoon will tell you the whole story.
