Annual Springfield Mayor's Art Show
Each year the Emerald Art Center hosts the Springfield Mayor's Art Show where awards are presented for each of the 12 division categories. Art work is submitted by artists of all ages in a variety of subjects and mediums. When creative visual art is shared with friends and family, something wonderful happens. When seeing his self-portrait exhibited at the Emerald Art Center, a young third grade artist exclaimed, "this is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me."
