Hello Everyone,
We will be painting at New River this coming Monday, July 19th, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the invitation of Heather Lester with the BLM. Muddy Lake is beautiful with the pond flowers, also the River and trails. It is located 5 miles south of Bandon on Hwy 101. at the west end of Croft Lake Ln. Watch for the sign that says New River. The road is paved and wanders through cranberry bogs to the park near the ocean. Stay on the paved road and when the road forks stay to the right on the paved road, then you will go through a gate and will see the New River sign.
The walk and sketch on Sunday at New River was enjoyable, and we had a good turnout at Dutch John Pond in Coquille last Monday. Thanks to all of you who participated in these events, and also in the upcoming Coquille Trails fundraiser in Coquille on Saturday.
The "Finely Wrought" show at Southern Coos Hospital is wonderful. Hope you all make time to go see it.
On a sad note, one of our fellow painters, Robert Rolicheck, passed away earlier this week. We will miss him. Our condolences go out to Sally and family. If you would like to send a card to Sally, the address is 3029 Sheridan Ave., North Bend, OR 97459.

If you are interested in weekly Life Drawing with Lani in Port Orford, please contact Dana at dana.amarisa@verizon.net to let her know your preference of days and times. They are considering Tuesdays or Wednesdays, in the afternoon....$70 fee to be split among participants. Probably held at the Port Orford Library. (This would be in addition to the regular session on the first Monday of the month.)
