Department of Transportation

Attached is the Call to Artists for the upcoming Fall show at Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center in Bandon.
Below is an overview.
For more information and entry form please open the attachment.

Transportation:  Trains, Planes, Boats & Automobiles
Also hot air balloons, tanks, tractors, unicycles, bicycles, motorcycles and all modes of transport can be included—real or imaginary, antique, modern or futuristic.
We would like to invite military veterans from all branches (including Coast Guard and National Guard)) whether actively serving or not, to enter artwork in this show.
We also welcome participation from artists who have not served in the military.

The Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center will host a show of artworks relating to the theme of transportation.    This fall show runs October through December.

As usual you can be creative in your interpretation of the theme, keeping in mind that art on the hospital walls is meant to entertain and de-stress the patients, families, staff, and general visitors.  It is not a venue for nudity, violence, morbidity, or as a political soapbox. Thank you for your continued positive approach to art in these shows.

Artists may enter 1-3 pieces using painting, collage, mixed media, drawing, photography or assemblage in all artistic styles: representational, abstract, impressionistic, or futuristic.  All works must be able to be hung on the wall.
No fee to enter, no commission on sales, but donations are requested to help cover the costs.

Work Progress

Hi friends....for those of you who haven't already seen this on Facebook, i'll be the featured artist at Second street this weekend, and in addition to my watercolors I've printed up nearly fifty of the ARTRAGE images I've been experimenting with since  last November....matching them with words, sometimes very tiny poems.  Come see!  I'll be there Saturday and Sunday from noon till 4 or 5.  Will bring along my iPad and show you how it's done.
 ❤Victoria

Each print is hand -signed, printed with archival inks on my Epson ARTISAN 1430 printer, hand-signed, and packaged with a backing board and an artist statement inside a glassine envelope. Keep them for yourself or slide them into a manilla envelope ( I will bring some along) and send them as gifts.>>
