THE BOARDS ARE READY!!

We invite you to pick up a board (18” x 24”) to paint for the 2015 Port of Bandon Boardwalk Show.  You have until June 15th to turn in your board.

The theme this year is “Coastal Creatures, Real or Imagined” so you have a broad range of ideas for painting.

Please use acrylic paint or some other medium that will withstand hanging outdoors all summer in the sun, wind and rain.  Please seal both sides of the board with a clear coat spray such as Krylon (found at the hardware store)  to protect it from exposure.

Entry forms and boards are available at both the Port of Bandon and at Art by the Sea Gallery in Old Town Bandon.
Attached to this email is a poster for show and an entry form you can fill out before you pick up the board, if you like.

Boards are $10 each.  If you already have a board from previous years you can paint on it, but you will still need to pay the $10 entry fee.  These fees help to pay for the ribbons and cash prizes that will be awarded during Cranberry Festival in September.  Please make sure your name and phone number appear on the back of your board.
See the entry form for information on the prizes.

Port of Bandon is located at 390 First St. SW, Bandon.  Phone is 541-347-3206

Won’t You Join Us?

Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio invites you to take this class to create a special nature journal with well known mixed media book artist Roxanne Evans Stout. She has shown work regularly at the Illahe Gallery in Ashland. Roxanne is an excellent teacher, comes prepared with most of the supplies needed, and has a line of stencils she has designed that we will be able to experiment with in the workshop. She is currently working on her mixed media journaling book through North Light Books. This is an incredible opportunity to work with Roxanne; what she brings to the class is invaluable. Roxanne comes highly recommended as an instructor, artist, and book maker.

Please come into the gallery to register, or call 541-347-5355.  While you are in the gallery you can check out the 2015 Miniature & Small Works show that just opened.

We hope you will join us. The few items you might want to bring with you are listed below:
