Jurors: Gabriel & Scarlett Pons from PONSHOP

Gabriel and Scarlett Pons are the founders and owners of PONSHOP, a multifaceted storefront: an artist studio, gallery, retail store, and classroom. Their mission is to provide a place that embodies what they love: art, design, and creative education. Their gallery features a variety of work from artists both near and far. Their studio also doubles as a classroom, providing workshops for students interested in everything from painting, ceramics, and architecture to street art and skateboarding. Both accomplished architects and artists, they moved to Fredericksburg in 2005, offering an ideal environment for them to flip their careers and pursue their art, Scarlett in ceramics and Gabriel in painting. Their installation works are a collaboration of their artistic and architectural backgrounds, focusing on contemporary cultural issues that they feel relevant in their lives.
