Monday Plein Air Paintout Information
Hello Everyone,
This Monday, June 18th, 12 - 3 p.m. we will do a repeat of the rained-out paintout at the vacant parking lot in Old Town that is west of the Minute Cafe (and across the street from the big blue old fish processing building. There are cypress trees up above old town, and also other types of trees in the old town area.
Bring a sack lunch and beverage if you like.
Our theme this summer is "Iconic Trees of the South Coast". So if you have a favorite tree or two that you think we would like to set up and paint, please let me know. We will have a show with our trees later on.
My phone number 541-297-6118.
Thanks!
Ava

Drop off date for “GAMES PEOPLE PLAY”
The Summer Show: (July, August, September): at Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center, Bandon
9:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5th at the hospital.
Looking for "collectables" such as old chess boards, backgammon boards, cribbage sets. Or a game you have invented, phtos of games/sporting events such as local golf courses; paintings of the same; depiction of psychological games people play. Get Creative! It's summertime..time for fun and games.
It was Crystal Landucci’s impressive collection of games of Chinese checkers
that inspired this one. We’re looking for board games of all sorts that can
be mounted on the walls; your own inventions would be great too……you’ve got
a little while to work on this one so start inlaying those chess boards or
drilling those cribbage sets….(fashioning those dominos?)…….Paintings of games. This should be a
really fun exhibit for the summer and we hope it will combine collectibles
and the fruits of your imagination.
