Student Art Show Opening This Friday,
5-7pm at UVAA
The Umpqua Valley Arts Association will be holding the opening reception for the All Douglas County Student Art Show this Friday, January 20th from 5pm till 7pm.
This exhibition features artworks created by elementary, middle school, and high school
students throughout Douglas County. The exhibit, featuring approximately 500 works in a variety of media, will fill all of UVAA's six gallery spaces. The Hallie Brown Ford Gallery, UVAA's main gallery, will exclusively feature the work of local high school students. Works in this gallery have been juried by art instructors; there will be cash awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.
The reception is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The Student Art Show will be on display at UVAA until March 2nd, 2012. Come by and check out Douglas County's young talent!
