Annual Cultural Art Show – Ancient Americas
Show: February 21- March 26, 2012
Deadline: January 27, 2012 @ 4:00 pm
Ancient Americas: 2012 is the end of the Mayan Calendar, a calendar which utilizes art in language, architecture and decorative beauty... eventually attempting to explain our past, present and even imagining a future beyond ourselves. Digging through our past we often encounter some of our most basic feelings. It is in this spirit we wish to inspire all artists of 2012!. This is a time to understand An ancient point of view of life and the world around us. Through art we as well as our ancestors explain what is life, how the world works, how we see the world as individuals and even expressing our ideas of what is beyond life. This is an opportunity to show original and cultural art work based on a primitive outlook or an influence of the ancient Americas. This is a collaborative show juried by Clark Studios, Pegasus and Giustina Galleries.

Submission Process:
Entry Form: Complete entry form and submit up to three (3) digital images on or before the deadline date on CD .
Work must be less than 48” in width or height /Contact gallery for 3 dimensional space
Preparation of Art Work: All work must be matted, framed and/or ready to hang.
Selection Process: The selection will be done from digital images weekly. Do not send original work. Contact gallery for Questions.
Notification: A message of acceptance will be sent via email or by phone. (There is a $20 reception fee for work that is accepted into the show, due with delivery of art.)
Commission & Payment: A 35% commission will be retained from all sales. Payment for works sold will be sent to the artists within 60 days of the end of the exhibit.
Schedule:
Last day for submissions: January 27 @ 4:00 pm
Notification of selection by: February 1 @ 4:00pm
Accepted works delivered/Payment due:
February 9- 16, 2012
Exhibit opens: February 21, 2012
Reception: TBA from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Exhibit closes: March 26, 2012
Art work to be picked up: March 27- 30th 2012
