Think About It

I am soooooooo Lucky, I came through my recent bout with illness and survived, but there are many who don't. No silly, artists who have permanent disabilities, physical or mental not the ones who have died. Death is so limiting, what for instance do you do without television or an Ipad?

And as so often happens around the Ole Trawler, Susan Lehman sent in an article about just that very thing.

We are so busy dealing with our own junk that we can forget those who are not lucky enough to deal with junk, those who have real problems, just getting through their day. People who have struggled to keep making art with some or all of their tools damaged by illness or mental disabilities.

Take some time to read this article and see if the rest of the day doesn't look a bit brighter in spite of Oregon's wet season closing in on us.

Then go visit Southern Coos Hospital and the Digital Eye show or stop in at Sage. This is your penultimate chance to see the old Coast Guard meeting room before Sage closes the curtain. If I had a shiny new place I'd close the curtain too!
