Wings

Subject: April at Bandon Library Art Gallery

April 2016 at the Bandon Library Art Gallery

Coralie Coen, also known as Mrs. Roadrunner, photographs nature in situ as an expression of her deep desire to contribute to an understanding of its creatures and the need to preserve and protect them and their environment. Her home in the wild gives her continued access to their homes, where she makes pictures to reveal the beauty in those hidden places. This show, “Wings,” concentrates on birds and insects, but her body of work includes all of the natural world here in Oregon.
In the cases Marlo Dance Studio has created a display to celebrate their new production, “Once Upon a Time,” an original dance dedicated to the Bandon Public Library. A young girl visits the library after taking class; the librarians give her an enchanted book, which takes her on a journey through the world of literature.
The show runs from April 1st – 30th. There will be a reception on Sunday, April 3rd, from 1.30 – 3.00 in the Sprague Room.
