Greenacres without Eva

Greetings,
Here is our PSA for a special Contra Dance on the evening of Saturday, March 19, from 7-10PM at the Greenacres Grange Hall.
There will be great music by one of the best Contra Dance bands in the Pacific Northwest, Cascade Crossing from Portland.  They play a variety of energizing dance tunes.
Our guest caller, Rich Goss, is also from Portland.  He is one of the most popular callers in Oregon.
This is a wonderful opportunity for dancers of all ages to enjoy great music and learn new contra dances.  They are easy to learn, and lots of fun.
Thank you for all your help.

Special March 19 Contra Dance at Greenacres

On Saturday evening, March 19 at 7PM, there will be a special Contra Dance at the Greenacres Grange Hall.  The Portland contra dance band, Cascade Crossing, will be on stage for three hours playing great dance tunes.  Rich Goss, who also hails from Portland, will be our guest caller for this exciting evening sponsored by the South Coast Folk Society, a local non-profit.
Cascade Crossing is currently one of the hottest and most sought after bands in the Pacific Northwest region. They have developed a reputation for intense creativity, breadth of instrumentation, and energizing dance crowds. Cascade Crossing's music is influenced by many styles, with touches of baroque, Caribbean, Celtic, Klezmer, traditional, northern, southern, jazz and ragtime. With many original tunes, expect the unexpected, from hard-driving reels to smooth, mysterious jigs. Using their wide range of instrumentation and styles, Cascade Crossing fills the dance hall with an exciting palette of musical colors and textures.  Members of the band are Lori Prime on fiddle, Carl Thor on piano, dulcimer and mando, Sarah Goss on bass, whistle and oboe, and Rich Goss on guitar and percussion.
Rich will give lessons at 7, and then teach and call every dance throughout the evening.  He is one of the most popular contra dance callers in the Pacific Northwest.  Rich always brings an exciting selection of dances to the hall, dances appropriate for all levels.  First timers who arrive for the 7PM lesson will receive a ticket for free admission to their next dance.
Contra dancing is great fun for singles, couples, and families.  This event is alcohol and fragrance free. Refreshments are available.  Doors open at 6:45PM.  Admission: General $7, Students w/ID and Seniors over 60 $6, Members $5, and Supervised Children under 6 are free.
