SECOND STREET GALLERY

RULES OF ENTRY
Photographic artists who have a residence in Oregon
are eligible to submit up to 3 works. All work must
be submitted by amateurs who do not derive more than 25%
of their income from photography. Work may be traditional
or digital, color or black & white. Finished dimensions
may not exceed a total of 11 x 14 inches. Only white or
off-white mats please. All work must be ready to hang upon
arrival at the gallery.

Entry categories include Landscape & Seascape,
People & Wildlife, Experimental, and Youth (18 & under).
Images will be judged based on creativity 40%,
image quality 30% and artistic composition 30%.
All work must have the photographer’s name,
title, size and sale price on the back
of the entry. All photographs should accurately
reflect the subject matter and the scene as it
appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered
beyond standard optimization (removal of dust,
cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure,
color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified,
excepting the experimental category. Entries must
be original work created solely by the entrant and
must have been completed after November 1, 2008.

FEES & AWARDS
The non-refundable entry fees are $10 for first piece,
and $5.00 each for the second and third piece. Youth
artist fees, under the age of 18, are $7.00, $5.00 & $3.00
respectively. Jurors will award Second Street Gallery
gift certificate awards and ribbons for each category.
First Place $100, Second Place $50 and Third Place $25.
Honorable mention ribbons will be awarded at
the judges’ discretion. Commission rates paid to artists
who sell work during the show are 65% of the selling price.
In addition, a group of exhibiting photographers will be
invited to join Photographer’s Forum of Second Street Gallery,
a newly formed group of amateur photographers who will meet
monthly. The group will enjoy informative presentations,
image competition opportunities, information sharing and
field trips.

To enter the competition, complete the entry form available at
www.secondstreetgallery.net or pick one up at Second Street Gallery,
210 Second Street SE, Bandon, OR 97411. Fill out the entry
form and copy similar information on the back of
each submission. Bring your completed entry form, photographs
and entry fees to Second Street Gallery between 10am and 5pm daily,
