You may not be able to see the muffin man who lives in Drurey Lane, but you can see the only Dolly Dock on the Oregon coast. It lives in Port Orford and it lifts boats out of the water rather than the more conventional landing options.
And as long as you are going to Port Orford to watch/paint/photograph the Dolly Dock, why not make a day of it? Go early and paint, then take lunch at the Redfish and after strong, black coffee to ward off a nap view the Hawthorne Gallery. If you get too sleepy you can spend the night at the Castaways and wake up to sunrise on the ocean. Take a friend and have a great get-a-way.
