Ava Richey's Art Info

Hello Everyone,

This coming Monday, October 11th we will be painting at Patricia Pike's place south of Bandon from 1-4 p.m. She has a large yard with a fantastic old tree with lots of character, eucalyptus trees, a pond, etc.

Turn west on Sydnam Lane, follow road until road forks, there is a sign that says Sydnam Lane with a small sign that says Pike just below it--take the right fork.

Go north until you come to a blue metal building (cranberry farm warehouse) make a left just before the metal building--there is a sign that say Pike that points where to turn. Shortly after that you will see a large sign for Pikes Pastures --their home is at the end of that lane.

If you want to carpool or caravan, meet me the vacant lot where the cheese factory used to be (next door to Forget Me Knots--across the street from The Station restaurant near Old Town) at 12:20.

My phone number is 347-4643 and cellphone is 541-297-6118.
----------------
Hope to see you at the Opening Reception for the Artists & Writers Exchange Show at Bandon's Southern Coos Hospital--1-3 p.m. Sunday, October 10th.

Leola Hultin, native of Bandon, friend and artist, passed away this week. She was active for many years in the Coquille Valley Art Association. She often allowed the Monday Plein Air Painters to set up and paint her beautiful gardens and views of the Coquille River from her home on North Bank Lane.
Her art can be seen at Heritage Place on Jetty Road, along with the work of other residents there through October 15, 2010.
We will miss her.
