ONE
OPEN SPACE ON BRAZIL WILDLIFE PHOTO SAFARI |
|
Due to a recent cancellation, there is now one space open
on Suzi's Wildlife of Brazil Photo Safari, from July 31- August 14, 2015. This
safari journeys the Pantanal to cruise rivers to photograph jaguars, giant
otters, hyacinth macaws, capybaras, and more. Unlike other photo tours, this
special itinerary also takes you off the beaten path to the best locations for
some of Brazil’s most elusive mammals, including giant anteaters in the
country's grassy savannas and maned wolves on the steps of a historical
monastery.
For jaguar photography, Suzi has arranged for spacious boats
with extra empty seats - for easy shooting from both sides of the boat and more
room for gear. As a tour designed for keen photographers (of all skill levels),
the itinerary includes only the very best places for wildlife photography. With
an incredible array of wildlife diversity, this is one of Suzi's most popular
tours.

CHEETAH
FEATURE IN WILD TRAVEL MAGAZINE |
|
Suzi's cheetah photos were a recent feature story in the
UK's Wild Travel Magazine. The story also features text by Dr. Laurie Marker of
the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Suzi and Laurie recently published "A Future for
Cheetahs", a coffee-table style book that serves as both a celebration of this
remarkable animal and a warning cry about its future. Populations have plummeted
f! rom 100,000 to 10,000 in Africa in the last century.

INTERVIEW
IN FEM WORLD MAGAZINE |
|
Suzi was recently interviewed by Fem World Magazine, a new
online magazine about female photographers. Suzi was asked some tough questions
about the realities of working in the field and the challenges of a career in
nature photography. “I think the project that was incredibly dark for me was
when I photographed poaching. I followed an anti-poaching unit in Kenya for
weeks and went out with them eve! ry night and during the day on their patrols
and ambushes. It was an extremely difficult thing for me to shoot. When you
photograph wild animals and focus on natural history, you focus on the glamorous
side of wildlife, the babies, etc. That’s what I usually shoot. But this time,
photographing what man had done, well, that can be very depressing". Read the
