Making a few more Little Grey cells

Photographers and painters often study the nude. It was for centuries the very best way to develop a command of your art and  become so comfortable that placing a human in a composition was second nature.

But in these days of less formal art has the practise become unnecessary?

Take a look at what  one writer thinks about the nude and animators. The days of photo-realistic painting may be gone forever, but with more and more film using animation, there may still be a place for traditional nude figure study.
