IN MORE DETAIL
Coos Art Museum is excited to have Coni Stroud, co-owner of Art Connection in Coos Bay, present a discussion on the skillful selection of framing materials designed to extend the life of your artworks. One question both artists and art collectors face is how artworks are to be framed. Learn how the use of various glass types, mat board and the right framing methodology impacts the conservation and aesthetics of the framed object. Ms. Stroud’s qualifications include designation as a CPF (Certified Picture Framer) with over 30 years of experience in the framing business. We will open our doors early for this special free event which takes place at Coos Art Museum on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. coinciding with the “Preservation & Presentation” Exhibition featuring artworks from the Museum’s Permanent Collection.  For additional information please call (541) 267-3901 or email the Art Education Dept. atsldonaldson@coosart.org.
