Pacific Park Gallery the best keep secret in ole Coos Bay has a new display up and you should go and see it.
Now I have worked hard at keeping personal stuff out of this blog. It just isn’t right for me to beat my own drum just because I write the best source for art news on the whole South Coast, but start the drum beating… Pacific Park Gallery has graciously allowed me and the Long Sufferin’ to hang our work and the result is better than could have ever been expected.
Well I guess you could have expected it but I hadn’t and since I am writing the piece I’ll use my impressions cause other people get really annoyed if you use their opinions without actually talking to them and they feel used and insulted and they get pissed and call in lawyers and there are far too many lawyers around and just look at what lawyers have done to Congress and you can see how that would be a terrible thing to happen to an harmless art gallery so I will stick to my own opinions an that way we won’t have to get the lawyers involved.
But back to Pacific Park Gallery, that beautiful boutique gallery located in the Pacific Coast Medical Park where you can see the work of distinguished artists like Pat Snyder, Pat Cink, Carol Miranda and the ole Trawler himself, although the Trawler is not nearly so distinguished as the company he keeps at Pacific Park Gallery. But no matter what level of distinction the Ole Trawler deserves, the distinction is there aplenty and you should go and absorb some distinction so that you won’t be distinctionless and thus be socially distinction which as everyone knows has been less acceptable since modern science developed deodorants.
But I digress. The Gallery is a beautiful space with a flood of light so necessary to creating and viewing art and plenty of wall space to carefully and strategically display the thoughtfully chosen pieces. I can say that they were thoughtfully chosen because the Ole Trawler didn’t choose them, no Janne LaValle the Imperial Omnipotent Stomper and the HMFWIC, (No ask your kids, or borrow a kid if you don’t have any. I’ll never tell)
Janne is a longtime Coos Bay artist and encaustic painter supreme and now she is devoting a smidge of her ultra valuable time to offering other artists a chance to show their work and that is a wonderful thing and hard to come by and all the artists in the area should be eternally grateful and they should throw laurel leaves and palm fronds but some yahoo would leave a coconut attached to the palm fronds and then Janne would get clomped in the head and have to recuperate and we just can’t afford to have her side lined for that long so just come by the gallery and take in the art and be thrilled, amazed and awe-struck. And then do the right thing and go tell all of your friends or if you don’t have any friends tell Charles and he will tell everyone.

You will be rewarded and enriched and the trip will be worth it and you should support the arts anyway and going to galleries is all part of that and if you stay at home and sit in that Strat-o-lounger all day your blood pressure will soar and you cholesterol will make your doctor cluck and a clucking doctor is a ticking time bomb so make the healthy choice and get out of your easy chair and go to the Pacific Park Gallery.
