A Tale of Two Juried Shows

The End is near! That's right you are smack against two deadlines and one of them is already half gone. The Lighthouse 2.0 Show has made the decision and selected the chosen and awaits only the proof of the pudding. That means for the remedial portion of the class, ya gotta bring your junk in or you'll get left out.

The selected works must be dropped off Thursday and Friday March 24th and 25th, that's this week folks, between 8am and noon. Now Whistling Gallery is 5 miles South of Bandon, down Art 101 way and you must get your works there framed, wired, labeled and ready to go on the walls or else. (Actually the prospectus doesn't say a thing about the "or else" but a bit of urgency and menace has been known to work wonders.)

It was tough enough to get juried into this show, why risk being left out by not complying with all of the rules? Get your labels affixed and get the good stuff down to Whistling Gallery, be there or be square!

And what pray tell do these images have to do with Lighthouses 2.0 at Whistling Gallery? Not a single thing, but I am glad you asked, there's another show in town for this one you still have a chance, a tiny, slim, skinny window of a chance, but it is there. The Thunder at CAM show deadline is March 26, that's just a day after your pictures have to be delivered to Whistling Gallery so don't let time slip away.

Even if you haven't selected your entry or found the right entry there's a chance, You have five days and that can make all of the difference. So get your motor running, head out on the highway, looking for adventure and whatever comes your way and you might just find it in time for the deadline.

And even if you don't want to go adventuring in search of a motorcycle or two, take a look at what you have on hand, maybe there's something that strikes a motorcycle chord with your inner leader of the pack and you should go with it and that Virginia is why the images have been added to this story, they don't look like standard bike photos, they speak of something completely different. Why not think outside the box?

The only way to lose is to not play. "See ya at the Candy Store..."
