The Florence Events Center Gallery Five will be the scene for “Public Hanging 2011” during March and April.
Artists from Florence, the Oregon coast, and across the Willamette Valley are invited to display up to three pieces of art in Gallery Five from March 1 through April 30.
Art should be delivered to the FEC on February 28 between 10 a.m. and noon. Take down will be on Monday, May 2. The fee is $20 per artist, which includes an artist reception scheduled for Friday, March 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Applications for the “Public Hanging” are now available at the FEC, the Siuslaw Library and online at www.eventcenter.org They must be received by Tuesday, February 15.
Photography will not be shown during this exhibit but will be displayed in the photography-only “Exposure 2011” during May and June.
