Happy New Year!
Thanks again for helping to make 2013 a great year of dancing.
We're starting the new year with a Barn Dance featuring a wonderful local women's band of seven very talented musicians playing for three hours of dancing on Saturday evening, January 11, from 7-10PM.
Our caller for this dance is Greg McKenzie of North Bend who brings over 20 year's experience to the microphone.  Greg will begin the evening with a beginner's lesson and call an exciting variety of dances throughout the evening.
Join us if you like, and thanks again for your help.

Local Women’s Band To Play for January 11 Barn Dance
All are welcome at the Greenacres Grange on Saturday, January 11, for an evening of light-hearted, easy-to-learn social dancing.  Beginners, singles and families can all join in the dancing.  The fun begins with a brief lesson at 7PM followed by three hours of contra and circle dances.  Every dance is taught and called by Greg McKenzie who is known on the West Coast for his clear and precise calling style that sweeps in first-time dancers quickly and gives center stage to the music.
Seven of the South Coast’s finest female musicians will play for three hours of dancing pleasure.  They are The All Girl Impromptu Pick Up Band, a perennial favorite, featuring Hege Bakken, Kim Flannagan, Alayne Olmstead, and Jennifer Sordyl all playing fiddles, Sharon Rogers playing accordion and guitar, Chorlotte Pierce playing piano, and Karen Olsen playing concertina and mandolin.
The Second-Saturday Barn Dance is sponsored by the non-profit South Coast Folk Society.  The program includes contras, circle mixers, and a waltz or two.  Refreshments are available.  Doors open at 6:45PM.  Admission:  General $7, Students w/ID and Seniors over 60 $6, Members $5, and Supervised Children under 6 are free.  First timers who arrive in time for the 7PM lesson will receive a ticket for free admission to their second dance.  The dances are alcohol and fragrance free.  For more information call 541-572-5370 or visit http://southcoastfolksociety.wordpress.com  or Facebook.
