Susan Says

If you've spent any time reading The Trawler you know one of our favorite artists and resources is Susan Lehman. And this is for a very good reason, Ms Lehman always comes up with the juiciest news, the sauciest websites and the most informative and helpful artist resources, like Fine Art Views, a daily newsletter filled with great articles, new ideas and just good stuff!

Susan sent me a piece from the Fine Arts Views about Bios and Artist's Statements. It is a fantastic, thought-provoking piece and you should follow this link and read what the In-The-Know guys think. I'd have given you the piece but I can't. The Fine Art Views has some very restrictive copyright instructions and try as I might I could not get Blogger to layout the page the way they require, so being a good little artist and writer I didn't copy it, but I have included the link and you should use it.

While you're there you might take a look at one or two of the other articles like, Are you Guilt of this Originality Sin Or the extra special, deluxe Artist Statement: Know Your Audience.

And after you recover from staring at the screen with your mouth wide open 'cause you can't believe all of the great ideas and neat stuff, go to this URL

And sign up, re-enlist, subscribe 'cause you won't get art information any easier than this, it comes right out of the ether and into your very own in-box and you don't have to leave the house or fuss with your hair or gas-up the car or get dressed, although if you usually read in the nude, drop me a line...I guess that's not proper for this sort of information.

Take the link, have a look and see if you don't think this is the sort of information you can use.
