This coming Monday, January 24, 2010 from 12 - 3 p.m. we will be painting in at Brewed Awakenings, corner of Hwy 101 and Elmira, across the street from the Shell gas station in Bandon.
If the weather is kind to us, we can walk down to the Boat Basin to paint outside.

For the artists with the Port Orford First Monday Painters, and the Bandon Monday painters who do life drawing at the Port Orford Library:
Freshwater Gallery in Port Orford will be presenting a Valentine's Show of life drawing/painting works. Each artist who participates in the First Monday Life Drawing is invited to show for sale one painting, (due to space issues).
Please submit paintings framed, wired and ready to hang, and priced. Drop off at the gallery before Tuesday, February 8, 2001 or bring with you to life drawing on Monday, February 7th. Call to make arrangements to drop off at the gallery at 541-236-8077 or 350-2902.

Artists are asked to donate different styles of vessels (preferably handmade) to help raise funds for Southern Coos Health Foundation which sponsors Women's Health Day.
The vessels will be auctioned at this year's event to be held February 5th, 8:30 - 2:30 p.m., at HarborTown Events Center in Old Town Bandon. The deadline for dropoff of the vessels is January 28th. They can be dropped at Bandon Artist Supply, or contact Carol Jones to arrange an alternative, or for more information. 541-347-2432.

"Lighthouse 2.0 Juried Show"
Lighthouses have played a critical role in maritime history and coastal life here in the Pacific Northwest. Open to emerging and established 2-D artists in Oregon 18 years of age or older. Submit up to three entries, $20. Artists are encouraged to go beyond the traditional lighthouse image and offer an exploration of lighthouses from a unique physical or symbolic perspetive. Cash prizes for selected submissions funded by entry fees. Awards will be given for Best of Show, Second Place and Third Place. Awards will be presented at artists' reception March 28, 2011, 5 - 7 p.m.
Juror is Michael Ousley.
