This coming Monday, January 10, 2011, we will be painting out/in at Old Bandon Golf Links from 12-3:00 p.m.
It is located behind the Best Western Inn at Face Rock motel on Beach Loop. Turn in as if you were going to the motel's restaurant (Bandon Bill's) but go straight on the road between the motel buildings and you will see the Gold Course building on a knoll behind the motel.
They serve lunch from a limited menu, and beverages. If the weather is nice there is a deck to paint from, or you can paint on the course. Otherwise there is a view from inside, and it's roomy and well lit.

Artists are asked to donate different styles of vessels (preferably handmade) to help raise funds for Southern Coos Health Foundation which sponsors Women's Health Day.
The vessels will be auctioned at this year's event to be held February 3rd at HarborTown Events Center in Old Town Bandon. The deadline for dropoff of the vessels is January 28th. They can be dropped at Bandon Artist Supply, or contact Carol Jones to arrange an alternative, or for more information. 541-347-2432.

"Lighthouse 2.0 Juried Show"
Lighthouses have played a critical role in maritime history and coastal life here in the Pacific Northwest. Open to emerging and established 2-D artists in Oregon 18 years of age or older. Submit up to three entries, $20. Artists are encouraged to go beyond the traditional lighthouse image and offer an exploration of lighthouses from a unique physical or symbolic perspetive. Cash prizes for selected submissions funded by entry fees. Awards will be given for Best of Show, Second Place and Third Place. Awards will be presented at artists' reception March 28, 2011, 5 - 7 p.m.
