Meet EVA SUBIAS Swedish Knitting, Crocheting & Felting Fairy!

Second Street Gallery will join with Art By The Sea in a Friday evening Art Walk 5 - 7pm, September16, 2016 welcoming Eva Subias, our knit, felt & crochet expert while the Co-op Gallery will host a reception for Diana K. Morton, photographer and the opening of the Collage Community show. Susan Lehman, has judged the show and will be announcing the winners of the exhibit and awarding prizes the evening of the reception. Eva Subias will also be our Meet and Greet Artist at Second Street Gallery both Saturday and Sunday 17th & 18th. We look forward to her vivacious personality as she shows her fashions and demonstrates how she creates them with lush, high quality yarns. Eva has been a regular at Second Street Gallery for many years and her cloches, flappers, scarves, mittens and felted hats continue their extreme popularity. She will be bringing along a broader range of work that we can’t regularly carry at the gallery.   Eva is a native of Sweden, where her love of knitting started when she was only about 7 years old.  She knits the continental way and will be happy to show you how fast that can be. Nowadays she switches between knitting and crocheting and enjoys both forms of creating beautiful garments.  She loves sharing her love of the art, so take this opportunity to come in and talk to her and see all the creations she will bring for this special weekend!
