Hello fun-loving people and community supporters,
There is an opportunity to have some fun and support Coos Bay Public Library at the same time on Saturday, November 7, 7:00 pm, inside the library after it closes. "After Hours at the Library" will have beverage tasting - Stillwagon Rum, River's Edge Wine, 7 Devils beer, Bridgewater coffee - with food pairings by Black Market Gourmet. There will be music and the culmination of a silent auction. Below is a pix of one of the auction items, featuring a Crate and Barrel tray, hand-blown glassware, and a bottle of Stoli Elit vodka. Other items include a fine bottle of saki along with a gift cert to Tokyo Bistro, a fabulous gift certificate from Spa Culture for a European facial and French manicure that includes a nice bottle of French wine, a gift certificate to Little Italy Restaurant along with a bottle of Tuscan wine, and some 40 other items. Hmm, there seems to be a theme here.
The event is sponsored by Coos Bay Public Library Foundation. Tickets are $30 each now and $35 at the door, available at the library or from me. If you can't come, please consider a donation to the Foundation, which supports library operations, and building of a new library facility, as the current building is slowly sinking into the mire. Thanks. Spread the word.
Cheers,
Carol
