Miniature and Small Works Show

This year Art by the Sea Gallery adn Studio in the Conitnuum Center is hosting the Fourth Annual Old Town Bandon Miniature and Small Works Show (that has been at Second Street Gallery the last three years). Attached is the Prospectus and Entry Form. There will be printed copies of this at Art by the Sea so stop by and pick one up! Pat Snyder will be awarding cash prizes in both catagories and the popular vote winner will be awarded a one person guest artist spot at the co-op for two months duirng 2014.

Call to Artists for the Fourth Annual

Miniatures & Small Works Exhibition

June and July, 2013

Rules of Entry:

Accepted Media:

All 2-D media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing, print making (artist- pulled prints), collage, mixed media & encaustic

Not Included: Photography and digital prints of any kind

Categories:

Miniature – Up to 8” maximum in any direction, excluding mat and frame

Small Works – Up to 14” maximum in any direction, excluding mat and frame

All work must be framed or on gallery wrap canvas; including a wire hanger (no saw tooth hangers please).

Entry Fees:

The non-refundable fees to exhibit are: $10 for first piece, $5 for the second piece and $5 for the third piece.


Awards:

Pat Snyder, Coos Bay artist, printmaker and art educator, will award cash prizes as follows:

$50 first place, $25 second place, plus three Honorable Mention ribbon awards in each category.

A People’s Choice Award will be decided by public ballot for a two month exhibition for one Guest Artist at Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio during 2014.


Artist Schedule:


Art Delivery: May 25 - 29: 11-5 PM, Drop Off 1—3 pieces of art work with paperwork and fees at Art by The Sea Gallery & Studio, 175 2nd St. SE, Bandon, OR 97411.

Artist Reception: Friday, June 7: 5:30 – 7:30PM, Private Party, by invitation only, for artists and friends.

Exhibit Ends: July 31

Artwork Pick Up: August 1 – 2: 11-5 PM

*Note: During this exhibition of miniatures and small works, the gallery commission will be 25%; please price your work accordingly. Remember to bring a copy of your biography to be included in the show binder. Artists who have sold work will be paid by the 10th of August, 2013.
