2013 Annual Themed Exhibition: Photography at the Edge
Newspace Center for Photography, located in Portland, Oregon, seeks entries for a juried exhibition,
February 1-24. The 2013 Themed Exhibition gives photographers and
artists the opportunity to submit work that includes photographic
processes (light-sensitive capture of imagery) but hovers at the edges
of the medium. Examples of photography at the edge include: appropriated
imagery, photo-collage, iPhone images, digital-only presentation,
alternative printing methods (digital or historic), book presentation,
three dimensional objects, and anything else that includes photographic
processes in some way, but pushes at the boundaries of what might be
considered "photography." Newspace Executive Director Tricia Hoffman
will jury the submissions and select work for the exhibition. Regardless
of process, work must be ready for display, on the wall or pedestal,
but does not need to be traditionally mounted and framed. $10 per image.
Deadline: December 14, 2012. Download prospectus (PDF format). Questions? Please contact Chris Bennett at info@newspacephoto.org or call 503-963-1935.
