Grayscapes Revisited

It was a cool and dark day before the Big Bunny showed his head and all through Coos County artists were hiding in their studios and trying to keep warm, when they should have been out capturing the gray so that after the Great Egg Laying they can hit the easel and paint some wonderful evocative Grayscapes.

It's not hard to find images on a day like this, you just have to get out and go see...

Not every picture needs bright yellows and reds to catch the eye...

I don't have the painters luxury of changing what I see, I have to work with what is there, but once I get it in the camera I can go home and make a little alteration...

Just because it is a gray day doesn't mean there are no colors, it just means they become the accent to your image...

Remember mood is an important elements in any composition.

But don't waste time reading this, go out and get some images for the future. There's a whole world of things left to do before you have all that family in for the Big Feed. If you let life distract you, you'll never collect the images you need to work with until the sun finally comes out.

The good news is this is Oregon and there will always be another gray day, but don't let plenty lull you into inaction, get out and collect and here's hoping that Wascally Wabbit does right by you!
