Ava Richey's Art News

Hi Everyone,

This coming Monday, April 4th we will be joining the First Monday Painters in Port Orford at the Port Orford Public Library, located across the street to the west from Ray's Food Place.

The model this month will be Denice Anderson. She will be dressed and seated in a tableau that she sets up. She keeps the same pose throughout the session except for a few breaks. This will give you time to do a complete study.

The cost of $65 will be divided among participating artists, so the more who come the less the cost per person. Hope to see you there. It is a comfortable place to paint.

Please don't forget to bring your plein air paintings to enter in the Coos Art Museum Plein Air Show. I will pick them up in Port Orford on Monday, or you can leave them at Bandon Artist Supply by Saturday April 3rd, or deliver them to CAM on Tuesday, April 5th. These can be paintings from other places too, and you don't have to be part of a formal painting group to enter your plein air landscape, seascape or cityscape. Please put your name, title information and price on the back of your paintings. CAM takes 30% commission.

Thanks. My phone number is 541-297-6118 if you have questions.

Ava
