Presents “RENT – A – ROD” ART SHOW Photography Only
April 29 – July 1, 2010
In this unique show, artists are invited to “rent a rod”, utilizing the rods used to hang art work in the FEC Gallery. ALL ART WORK MUST BE FOR SALE. The FEC WILL TAKE A 25% COMMISSION ON ALL SALES AND AN ADDITIONAL 4% CHARGE WILL BE MADE FOR CREDIT CARD SALES. Following are the guidelines for the show:
FLAT ART (Photography Only)
1. Each rod can hold up to 3 photographs. Maximum-framed width is 30”. The rods can accommodate paintings within a length of 60”, but the artist must be sure that enough room will be left for adequate space between paintings.
2. The rental fee will be $20.00 per rod (including artist reception fee), payable to the FEC with the application. A second rod may be applied for BUT ONLY ON A SPACE AVAILABLE BASIS. If you wish to rent more than one rod, only pay for the first rod. You will be notified if other rods are available and your payment will be requested.
3. Applications and fee, must reach the FEC office, or be post marked by April 15, 2010
4. All the art work must be properly framed and wired (no “saw toothed” hangers) ready to hang. No exceptions! Pieces inadequately framed or wired will not be hung and no refund will be given.
5. Placement of the art on the rods as well as on the walls will be at the sole discretion of the art hanging committee.
6. Art work must be hand-delivered to the FEC on Thursday, April 29th from noon -2:00 p.m. and picked up on Thursday, July 1st between 10:30 am – 12 noon.
7. If art work sold during the show is delivered to the buyer, the artist will be contacted and invited to replace that work at no additional charge.
8. Please have your art work clean and ready to hang. Thank you!
9. Please attach a 100 word bio for the publicity book, and a photo of each piece for press publicity (if you have any), to the application form. They will be returned.
10. You may also submit publicity about your show to the media, once you know you have been approved.
