Create a Personalized Folk Art Painting in Acrylic. Join us in welcoming Portland artist, Alison O’Donoghue to Coos Art Museum, January 28th & 29th for an acrylic painting workshop from 10am to 4pm. Alison will assist participants in creating a painting filled with images of personal significance in a colorful, lively folk art format of stacking, interacting and pattern making. With simple, yet meaningful images such as birds, animals, flowers, plants and other objects, you will create a harmonious and interactive world within the bounds of the painting surface. Through the process of layering with acrylics, your result is a colorful, vibrant painting glowing with light and color.
Media: Acrylics. Skill level: all skill levels welcome. Age Range: 12 and up.
