VALENTINE CONTRA DANCE AT GREENACRES GRANGE FEB. 14 (PSA)

Here is our Public Service Announcement for our special Valentine Contra Dance on Saturday, February 14, at the Greenacres Grange Hall.
We have a fantastic caller for this dance, Stacy Rose, who loves to call interesting and lively dances, and the Mad Robin Band from Eugene is incredibly danceable.  It should be a wonderful evening for dancers of all ages.

Valentine Contra Dance in Greenacres February 14
Experience the fun of a Valentine Contra Dance at the Greenacres Grange Hall on Saturday evening, February 14. There will be live music and a caller for three hours of dancing pleasure starting at 7PM.  Dancers of all ages are welcome at this public event sponsored by the South Coast Folk Society.  New dancers can learn the easy steps and figures of Contra Dancing at 7PM when instruction will be given by our guest caller Stacy Rose of Coos Bay.  The dances are so easy to learn that all levels of experience will enjoy dancing together.  Stacy will call a variety of interesting dances throughout the evening.
Music for our February dance will be provided by the Mad Robin Band from Eugene,  Mad Robin consists of Victor Fiore on fiddle, Cecily Morris on piano, and Art Morris on upright bass.  They have been providing lively and eclectic contra dance music in Oregon since 2011, and have performed to enthusiastic audiences throughout Oregon and Washington.
Contra dancing is appropriate for singles couples and families. The evening’s program includes contras, circle mixers, and a waltz or two.   First timers who arrive for the 7PM lesson will receive a ticket for free admission to their next dance.  This event is alcohol and fragrance free.  Put on your dancing shoes and a smile and join us.  Refreshments are available during the dance.  Doors open at 6:45PM.  Admission:  General $7, Students w/ID and Seniors over 60 $6, Members $5, and Supervised Children under 6 are free.
