Are you still sitting on the couch,
(And what did you do with The Thing On the Couch) staring at the
super wide plasma watching the beautiful baby Bears maul the grizzled
old Green Bay Slackers? Well pick up your bed, er couch and walk to
the amazing art displayed at the Pacific Park Gallery, this very
weekend and learn something, absorb culture and fire up those weary
gray cells.
The Ole Trawler himself will be on hand
to welcome you and share with you his own incredible works of
photographic brilliance. Just take the short walk up the stairs,
cause there are photos in the stair well as well and then on the
second floor you can see all of the faces which make up, Character:
Them What has. A photographic essay of the wonders we walk by every
day but are too absorbed in our own little dramas to see.
Then if that isn't enough here's the
insightful, imaginative work of F. Gary Ostrom, gentleman artist and
all about swell guy who you should take time to meet and discuss art
with cause he has much to say of merit and you know that your time
will be better spent than it would be watching another early season
football game where the players haven't even worked of all of the
lard they packed on in the off season unless they are place kickers
in which case they are scared spitless cause they saw the YouTube of
Carli Loyd nailing a fifty-five yard field goal through the practice
goal posts which are only nine feet wide instead of the regulation
eighteen feet on the first try and why haven't my beautiful baby
Bears signed that girl up cause you all remember last year it was one
missed filed goal that knocked Da Bears out of the play-offs.
An then, and then , and then along came
Janne! I can't actually say if she is Slow walking Janne, Slow
talking Janne, along came bright, bold, brilliant Janne! Ya see she
is the boss of the gallery it would probably be best just to say nice
things about the Honcho, but that's so easy cause when you see her
art you too will be saying nice things and when you go back to the
Home 20 and see the Thing on the Couch who hasn't moved and might
need to have his pulse checked just to make sure he hasn't died with
the remote in his hand and said he rhetorically is that the modern
equivalent of dying with your boost on, but I digress so when you see
the Thing on the Couch you can tell him all about the amazing,
wonderful and enlightening art on display at the Pacific Park Gallery
and remind him that if he had put on pants and brushed his teeth he
too could have seen the art, enjoyed the intellectual environment and
snagged some killer snacks all while listening to the Little Match
Girls play the top 40 of 1756.
Now are you still interested in that
silly football game, which isn't actually played with feet cause then
it would be soccer and the United States National Women's Second
consecutive World Cup winning Super Stars would be playing and
everyone would be staying at home to watch America's team cause they
are the real stars of any game, but since they don't play again until
October you have no excuse not to be at Pacific Park Gallery, this
very Sunday, September the 8th from 2-4 for the reception
and to meet the incredible artists on display with no annoying
Liberty Mutual Limu commercials to distract from the art.
Splendid, compassionate photos, and thanks for your kind words, and honor to exhibit with you.
