Market Days

Saturday March 31st    6th Annual Coos Bay Public Library Foundation Adult Spelling Bee at Black Market Gourmet 7p.m.
Catch the spelling bee buzz at Black Market Gourmet, 495 Central Avenue, Coos Bay, on Saturday, March 31 starting at 7 p.m. Teams of undaunted locals will test their spelling abilities at Coos Bay Public Library Foundation’s Adult Spelling Bee fundraiser.  

Tickets are on sale now at the Coos Bay Public Library, the Art Connection, Black Market Gourmet, or from Library Foundation members. The $25 entry ticket includes a scrumptious dessert buffet, coffee, no-host bar, and plenty of merriment, according to organizers.   

Friends, families and those who just want to see how they measure up are encouraged to join the fun by cheering on their favorite team, joining the 50/50 raffle or purchasing raffle tickets for various bee-themed gift baskets. In between rounds, audience challenges for prizes and glory will add to the festivities. For more information call 541-269-1101.

Saturday April 21st    Coastal Celtic Society Whisky Tasting at Black Market Gourmet 4-7 p.m.   
Seating Limited to 55 guests, featuring 5 single malt Scotches with food pairings by Chef Jardin Kazaar and Whisky Presenter Robert Moore.  Tickets $55 per person and available at 7 Devils and Black Market Gourmet.  

Sunday May 6th    Art Reception from 2-4 p.m. at Black Market Gourmet featuring the work of world traveler photographer Bob Levy.
