WILL HE SAVE THE SULTRY SAFFRON SILKWOOD? WILL OUR WORLD BE CHANGED FOREVER? OR WILL THE DOOMSDAY BELL CHIME THE MELODY OF ARMAGEDDON, AS THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE GLIDE GRACEFULLY ON FLAMING PEGASI CLUTCHING COWERING SOULS BEFORE FALLING INTO A DAMNED PIT OF DESPAIR FOR ALL ETERNITY? BE THERE AND WITNESS DASH RIPROCK AND THE TENTACLES OF DOOM.”
So It Goes Coffeehouse - those cosmic purveyors of great coffee, killer bakery, used books, bad poetry and absurdist theatrics - proudly presents the premiere of stage comedy and space adventure DASH RIPROCK AND THE TENTACLES OF DOOM. Written by Mark Andrew Wilson, DASH RIPROCK plays from December 8th to the 17th, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7pm. Performances take place at the Coffeehouse at 190 Central Ave, Coos Bay, Oregon.
The production is directed by John Beane, director of Coos Bay Shakespeare in the Park’s HENRY V and writer/director of PULP SHAKESPEARE at So It Goes last year. It is co-directed by Daneal Doerr (the actual talent).
The show stars So It Goes stalwarts Maxwell Freeman as supreme sidekick John Cornwallow, and thunder god Joe Allen as domineering lawsuit-waiting-to-happen Lupus Starkweather. We are incredibly proud to introduce the fantastical Morgan Woods as space agent Dash Riprock, the all-encompassing Michelle Finger as the sultry Saffron Silkwood, and the hygienically sound Davien Carter as Rusty Bottoms, Pirate Lord. Completing the pantheon of awesome are Coos Baynian theatrical demigorgon Taylor Marchant as villainmeister/baritone Dorn Grizzlebeard, interdimensional tiara goddess Bex Schwartz as marine biologist Dr. Yessenia Julianna La-Canfora De-La-Rosa Medina Gonzalez-Jones, and Taylor’s sister Marissa Marchant, who hates him and is funnier than this show, as the Narrator.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at soitgoescoffee.com, at the So It Goes facebook, or in person at So It Goes Coffeehouse, 190 Central Ave, Coos Bay Oregon. Performances are December 8th to the 17th, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7pm. 541-808-9333.
