Potluck meeting at 5 p.m. at Greenacres Grange. Help set the Folk Society's direction for the next year. Run for the board. Learn more about Folk Week and sign up to help.
CONTRA DANCE SATURDAY, MAY 9
At Greenacres Grange at 7 p.m. Caller: Greg McKenzie. Band: Contra Swings with Beth Brown. Admission: General $7, students w/ID and seniors over 60 $6, members $5, and supervised children under 6 free. First-timers who arrive in time for the 7 p.m. lesson will receive a ticket for free admission to their second dance. The dances are alcohol- and fragrance-free. It's getting warmer. Bring a shirt to change into in case you get sweaty! Last scheduled dance till September.
SECOND SUNDAY SING-ALONG SUNDAY, MAY 10
4-6 p.m., at the North Bend Library. We've got the Rise Up Singing songbooks. Acoustic musicians welcome! Continues year-round.
INTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE FRIDAY, MAY 22
Starts at 7 p.m., Greenacres Grange. Teaching, followed by requests. Admission is $4, or $3 for members of SCFS. Last scheduled dance till September.
CELTIC SESSION
7-9 p.m. first and third Wednesdays (May 6, May 20, June 3) at Liberty Pub, 2047 Sherman Ave, North Bend. Play or listen. Continues year-round.
