Introduction to Classical Mosaics with Tracy Hodson ~

 Sunday March 19^th ~ 11.30 am – 5 pm ~ $45

The purpose of this class is to familiarize students

 with mosaic materials used since Antiquity.

Each student will make a 4” x 4” mosaic,

using stone, smalti (Venetian glass),

mosaic gold, and glass beads, set into mortar.

You will learn to cut tesserae, mix mortar,

and follow this simple design. Tools and

materials will be provided. Bring an apron,

water to drink, and a snack; wear comfortable

 clothes and shoes you can stand in for awhile.

Class size limited to 6, so sign up early!

It can be serious or funny, realistic or abstract, or somewhere in between.

Drop off your art for the April show on Wednesday, April 5^th at 2 p.m.
