Incorporating text as design in collage; utilizing words to enhance the “story”, Susan will guide you through several thought-provoking exercises to explore combining words and pictures in your collages. All materials will be provided for you to complete two collages; you just show up with playing in mind!

7th Figurativas Painting and Sculpture Competition

The Foundation of the Art and the Artists seeks entries for Figurativas '13, to be held October 2013 at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain. Awards: 36.000 € Painting and 44.000 € Fund for Sculpture. Jurors: Jacob Collins, Gottfried Helnwein, Odd Nerdrum, Antonio López García, Jose Manuel Infiesta, Tomás Paredes y Santiago Echeberría. Any artist who wishes, may take part. Only one piece of work per artist will be accepted, in each discipline. This work is original and as a consequence the exclusive property of the artist. Both the subject matter and the technique of the work will be open, but always within the discipline of Figurative Art. The technical skill and originality of the subject matter will be evaluated. Cooking Classes At The Black Market Gourmet

1. Black Market Gourmet will have a cooking class on Monday April 22nd at 6 p.m. and again on Tuesday April 23rd at 2 p.m.  These are free classes and we hope you can join us.

2. Black Market Gourmet will be open for dinner on Friday April 26th from 5 p.m. until close and reservations are encouraged.  Please call 541-269-0194 to make reservations.
